Juliet Capulet wins Leopardstown opener

The opening race on Champion Stakes Day at Leopardstown today went to the Aidan O’Brien trained Juliet Capulet which made all under the trainer’s son Joseph O’Brien.

Juliet Capulet, well drawn in 2, kept up her gallop in the straight for a three lengths win over Vasitas.

Afterwards O’Brien Snr stated “Juliet Capulet is a filly with a lot of ability and got a nice lead today. She is very babyish – immature mentally, but is physically quite mature.”
