Heavenly Being continued a good recent run for trainer Jessica Harrington when landing odds of 10/11 in impressive fashion in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maziden at Navan.

The Night Of Thunder half-sister to Matron Stakes winner No Speak Alexander, who cost €525,000 at the Goffs Orby Sale last year and showed promise in three previous outings, took full advantage of a good opportunity here.

She took control from over a furlong out under Shane Foley, striding clear on the stands' side in the closing stages to beat Beano Power by four and three-quarter lengths. Hasshoffman was a further two and a half lengths adrift in third.

The Commonstown trainer saddled two big winners at Naas last weekend and added to her tally with a double at Gowran yesterday.

Harrington’s daughter and assistant Kate said, "I'm very happy with that and I thought she would have done it sooner. We thought a lot of her, she did a lot growing mid-summer and she got a touch of a sore shin on us. She has got over that now and it is nice for her to break her maiden.

"Shane said five is definitely her minimum and to go up to six and seven furlongs next year.

"She is a half-sister to our Group 1 winner No Speak Alexander and I think there is a future for this filly next season. She is only starting to fill her frame."
