Inflection Point put his rivals to the sword with a game front-running performance in the RYBO Handicap at Fairyhouse.

Shane Foley bounced out in front on the 16/1 shot and he found plenty in the closing stages. Mrs Bouquet pressed hard in the final furlong but couldn't find a way past Kieran Cotter's charge who prevailed by a neck at the line.

“He ran in the Curragh a couple of weeks ago but the straight course there doesn't suit him,” said Cotter afterwards.

“He seems to like running around a bend and was third in a Listed race at Dundalk.

“The plan was to go forward here from his inside draw and Shane knocked a good tune out of him.

“He has a lot of ability and Shane seems to be able to get him to go forward. He's got a touch of class, we thought he was a step above these and we had him ready today. It worked out well.

“That was the plan and I'm not quite sure what is there for him now.

“What we're learning about him is that he is track dependent and he won't go back to the likes of the Curragh.

“He seems to like racing around a bend where he can get out in front and keep galloping forward. He has his own style of running but it works for him.”
