Emperor Bob made all to land the seven furlong claimer in Laytown for David Marnane and Donagh O'Connor.

The four-year-old gelding kept on well to post a victory by two lengths at 9/2.

He was chased home by fellow 9/2 co-favourite Rialto Magic with Rigid Rock (5/1) in third.

David Marnane said: "I'm delighted for the owner who has pubs in Dublin and Bray. He's always had ability and I think he just came alive here, it suited him well.

"We just wanted to jump and rock and roll with him today. A couple of runs he has been disappointing on varying ground. He won a Dundalk maiden as a two-year-old first time out so obviously likes that surface."

The winner was claimed by Patrick McKenna. Dove Mountain was claimed back by Gordon Elliott while Not A Bad Oul Day was claimed by James Mescall. Phoenix Bloodstock Ltd claimed Rialto Magic.
