After a string of seconds Zunera got a deserved win to her name as she took the Glebe House Stud Handicap under Shane Foley for Mick Halford.

Sent off the 9/10 favourite (from evens) the daughter of Invincible Spirit was a close second in the early stages before being pushed along to dispute over a furlong out.

She soon hit the front and despite swishing her tail she kept on well in the closing stages to score by a length and a half. Coto (10/3 to 11/4 on-course) finished second under Shane Kelly for Matty Tynan

Mick Halford said afterwards: "She deserved to get her head in front as she has produced a few good efforts recently.

"Jumping the road won it for her! A bit of schooling never goes astray.

"They went hard and the two of them were taking each other on. Five is a shade tight for her but she doesn't quite get six as she's been caught late on a few times.

"She's a winner at two and three now. She's an Invincible Spirit filly and will be a nice filly for the paddocks."
