Danielle's Journey made it third time lucky in the concluding Tullyraine Equine bumper at Down Royal this afternoon. Bellaney In Motion soon hit the front in the two-mile contest and went a long-way clear.

His lead was reduced before the straight, however, and 11/8 favourite Danielle's Journey took over turning for home. Gala Ball gave chase down the hill but couldn't peg back the winner, who went on to score by three-and-three quarter lengths for brothers Stuart and Steven Crawford.

The Presenting mare had been narrowly denied on her first two starts, at Catterick in December and over course and distance in November.

Stuart Crawford said: "She has run two solid races and has been very green. She was very unlucky not to win first time here. I imagine she'll go to Punchestown for a fillies' race. She is out of a real good family and has been very solid."

The Larne handler also revealed that he has two entered in Sunday's Ulster National at Downpatrick.

He reported that Man With Van and Ardmillan are both in good form and both could run. He won the race in the stewards room last year with Hidden Horizons.
