Breaking Story provided a popular local success in the LimerickRaces.ie Handicap at Limerick.

Ridden by Nathan Crosse for Ballingarry based Richard O'Brien, the well supported favourite poached an unassailable lead leaving the back straight and had enough in reserve to hold off the late thrust of Toshizou

A keen going sort, Crosse allowed the six-year-old get on with it here, tactics that worked a treat. Having ben rated in the mid-90's at one stage of his career, there could be more to come now that the son of Dandy Man has regained the winning thread.

Winning jockey Nathan Crosse said; "I rode him the last day in a good race at Cork and he was very keen with me and was always doing too much in behind.

"I said to Richard that we should change tactics today and make the running, steady it up, as he has six furlong pace.

"He kicked turning in and did it nicely. He jumped, travelled everywhere and is very honest."
