Realtin Fantasy sprang a 22/1 shock when running out a game winner of the five furlong handicap at Dundalk.

The Willie Browne-trained mare was to the fore throughout under Sean Bowen and gained a narrow lead a furlong-and-a-half from home.

The daughter of Power stuck to her guns in the closing stages as she went on to post a half length win over Havana Notion

Realtin Fantasy had gained her only other career success at Tipperary back in May 2022.

Bowen said: "She showed a lot of speed early on, travelled well, quickened and picked up well off it.

"I kind of fancied her there today off a light weight. She hadn't run in about two and a-half months and it freshened her up.

"I probably put it down a bit early, but she was galloping all the way to the line. She is good and honest.

"That 32 winners in total now.

"I'd like to thank Willie Browne for giving me the opportunity and Mr (Eugene) O'Donnell for leaving me to ride her today. They have been very good to me."
