Jim Bolger is looking forward to seeing how Teo's Sister gets on when she makes her debut in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden at Leopardstown this evening.
The daughter of Galileo is a full-sister to Bolger's champion two-year-old of 2006, Teofilo.
After beating Holy Roman Emperor in the National Stakes and the Dewhurst, Teofilo, just like the runner-up, went to stud without racing as a three-year-old, having been a late defector from the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket.
He has made a good start to his career as a stallion but the debut of Teo's Sister has been long-awaited as she never made it to the track at two.
Having had entries in a host of races, Bolger has decided to start her over seven furlongs.
"We had her in a few races but we've gone for this. She's a good type of filly," said Bolger.
"She had a succession of minor problems which stymied her each time we had her ready but all seems to be well with her now so we are ready to go.
"I trained her dam and her grand-dam so it would mean a lot if we could get a win out of her too.
"She's got some big entries later in the year but you have to make them so early.
"In time I think her best trip will prove to be 10 furlongs, maybe even a mile and a half.
"I'm looking forward to it."
Bolger also confirmed that his Ribblesdale Stakes winner Banimpire is on target for the Darley Irish Oaks on July 17 at the Curragh.
"She's very well and she'll run in the Irish Oaks next," he added.
