The concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Race at Dundalk tonight had the distinction of being the 1,000th race to be run at the venue since its reopening, with victory going to the David Wachman trained Aloof

The daughter of Galileo (providing jockey Wayne Lordan with a double) was the fourth winner of the night to make virtually all the running. At the line, Aloof ran out one of easiest winners at the track, proving four and a half lengths too strong for Madhmoonah

Afterwards Wachman reported by phone “Aloof is a nice filly - it was a step up in class from the last day but she did it well. She got the trip and we'll look for a Stakes race for her now.”
