FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - A chance is taken on BARESI. He hasn't achieved much in two outings since returning to action this spring. He had a break after scoring at Naas in October and he's surely better than he's shown the last twice. You'd obviously like to see him solid in the betting coming as he does from the Charles Byrnes yard, but he has a man on his back - Ger Fox - that's very good value for his 7Ib claim and a set of cheek-pieces could now help to wake up his ideas. Recent in-form horses Knock Beauty and Fiery Oscar (a course scorer in the past) have to be very much respected but those good performances have been achieved on slower ground. Local hope Rockshandy is another to have scored at Greenmount Park in the past and he'll likely go well if ready for this - his first outing since October. The likes of Coldstonesober and Hans Crescent are others to factor in.
An extended handicap steeplechase for five yrs old and upwards (116 = 11st 10lb)Weights - Top weight in the original handicap shall not; be less than 11st 10lbPenalties - Winner of a steeplechase after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each such steeplechase won.
