FormscanBy Alan Magee - This race revolves around whether you are with or against Cairdin. Mags Mullins’ charge is certainly not short of ability and, curiously for a bumper winner and 2m6f maiden hurdle winner, also has some pace. His third to Cosmic Cannonball, when making the running until 2f out, at Gowran Park earlier this year reads well with the winner currently rated 98. However recent efforts over hurdles and fences would be a major worry. Finding an alternative is not straight forward either as there’s question marks about his rivals, and perhaps OUR MAX may reward support. He showed some promise in maidens at Galway and Leopardstown last year, and beat all bar Korbous on his first outing for Pat Martin in July. The start can often cause problems, so the absence of stalls here should be a plus. The flag start should also help Al Fahidi who is running to her handicap mark but the trip looks too far for Acting Talent.
For four yrs old and upwards, maidens at starting which, at entry, have run at least three times under any Rules Of Racing or N.H. RulesWeights - 10st 3lb; Mares allowed 5lbRiders - Apprentice who claim the 10lb or 7lb allowance under Rule 69 will not be allowed to ride in this race.
