An enquiry was held to consider why Michael Wigham, was running MY TARGET (IRE) here at Newmarket on going described as Soft, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Goodwood on 14 October 2018 on ground with the same official description. The trainer stated that Goodwood had heavy rainfall prior to racing and as MY TARGET (IRE) was declared to run in the final race of the day, Wigham felt that the ground would be too deep and cut up for the gelding.
