Permission was given for Loving Dream (GB) and Regent (GB) to be mounted in the chute.
An enquiry was held to consider interference from approaching the final half furlong when the winner, Sherbet Lemon (USA), ridden by Paul Mulrennan, interfered with Loving Dream (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Frankie Dettori.
Mulrennan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction causing Dettori, on his inside, to have to take a precautionary check.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Sherbet Lemon (USA), became unbalanced and lugged left- handed taking Loving Dream (GB), placed fifth, slightly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence as involved and it had not improved the placing of Sherbet Lemon (USA).
The performance of Technique (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Martyn Meade could offer no explanation for the filly's performance.
