Permission was given for Banksea (GB) to go early to post and for Kayewhykelly (IRE) to be mounted in the chute and led to post early.
Upon leaving the stalls the winner Kayewhykelly (IRE), jumped left-handed at the same time as Le Reveur (IRE), placed fourth, jumped right-handed, causing both horses to become unbalanced after bumping before a short distance later they again bumped heavily and on this occasion Le Reveur (IRE) was badly hampered, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Kayewhykelly (IRE).
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Lexington Storm (IRE), unplaced, was outpaced in the early stages due to the strong pace.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Trevithick (GB), unplaced, lost its left-fore shoe.
