Permission was given for Coul Queen (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start.

Evans was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all Raceday Privilege requests are submitted by 1pm on the day before racing.

Inside the final half furlong, Spartan Fighter (GB), placed fifth, lugged right-handed, bumping Confrontational (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Frederick Larson reported that Thrave (GB), placed seventh, suffered interference leaving the stalls, causing him to lose the use of his right- iron for a short distance and was also denied a clear run approaching the home bend.
