- Stewards Report
Prior to this race John Gallagher was asked to explain why he was running Green Power (GB) here at Windsor on going described as Good, Good to Firm in places, having declared the gelding a non-runner at Doncaster on 28 March 2021 on ground with the same official description.
The trainer stated that in his opinion, he felt that Doncaster did not have enough grass cover, but after walking the track today, was happy for Green Power (GB) to take its chances today.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Heer We Go Again (GB), trained by David Evans, was not submitted.
Evans was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 furlongs out when The Lamplighter (FR), placed fourth, ridden by Angus Villiers, interfered with Heer We Go Again (GB), unplaced, ridden by Darragh Keenan, who in turn interfered with Company Minx (IRE), unplaced, ridden by George Rooke.
Villiers was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction carrying Keenan marginally off his intended line onto Rooke, resulting in Rooke having to take a slight check.
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Capote's Dream (IRE), placed second, hung left- handed.
