That was super, I'm delighted. She's been a dinger of a filly for the syndicate and they are knocking a great bit of fun out of her. She's really found her feet on the all-weather and five looks to be a suitable trip, there is plenty of speed in the family. Hopefully she can continue to progress. My initial thought after last time (third over 6f) was back to five - she was drawn 11 then, but my gut was telling me to go back to five. With another win under her belt she'll get some more confidence and who knows where she'll end up. She travelled liked the winner two down and then Wesley dropped his stick and I briefly thought that maybe Chris could make a race of it. To be fair to the filly she is genuine, she dug deep and when she got to the front she was maybe just waiting on the second horse a little bit. She didn't have too much hardship today, so hopefully she'll be in good shape for the next day as well. The winners' race in a fortnight's time is the obvious one. She'll have less weight on her back there as well which will be nice as she's not over-big. We'll keep making hay while the sun shines. She's loving it up here and her action is set up for this kind of surface. She's won two now and been placed a couple of times, so maybe she could get three up before the year is out which would be great.

He disappointed us the first day he ran, he ran terrible and showed nothing. He's a full-brother to Hokusai who has disappointed us a good few times, so I was afraid to be too confident. The 10lb (price allowance) and the 5lb claim left him well enough in and we had him down here a couple of times. He worked with Gordon's horse (Elliott, Coachello) who won in Lingfield last week, the good horse, and has worked at home with him. He didn't beat him or anything, but he did work with him. He was fit and ran through the line there. He's in good shape with himself, looks great and has a good skin on him. He's a real healthy horse and has been coming on nicely. We always thought he other fella (Hokusai) was quite good but he's failed to win so far, hopefully he will yet.

He got a bit messy in the stalls and half missed the kick, which he hasn't been doing — he's been breaking really quick,. He settled a little bit better tonight than he did the last night. He got a good tow into the race, picked up and just came out the right side of the photo. It could have gone either way and I wasn't sure we had won. I joked with the handicapper the other day that he had whacked us, but I've often found when he does hit you that hard they are often right. You'd think winning three-and-a-half that you'd get 8lb or maybe 9lb, but he was right - just about!

He's not the one I expecting, but we'll take any of them. They are solid horses and there's not a whole pile between any of them. Rory gave him a great ride, he jumped out and went forward. This horse loves to do that and fair play to him. It was a long last furlong, but he stayed at it well. I thought the other horse was coming to nab him but he didn't. Apache Outlaw ran well, I thought he might have finished a little bit stronger and he was a little disappointing. I'll take any winner. We've had great fun with this horse, he brought us to Dubai a few years back and always wins a couple of races every year. That's his third win this year and won on the beach as well for us. These type of horses keep people happy.

Saturn blasts in for McCullagh

He had a really good run at the Curragh the first day and then we probably ran him on ground that was a little bit too soft for him the second day,. Shane (Foley) got off him that day and said 'don't run him on that ground again and step him up to a mile-and-a-half'. We were short of options and were kind of forced into running him over a mile-and-a-quarter here. He was just caught for a bit of toe inside the last furlong and finished a good third that day. We sat and waited for this mile-and-a-half maiden with him. Scott (McCullagh) said he did it very impressively and he'd have no problem even stepping up to a mile-and-six. I think physically he's gotten an awful lot stronger. He's been this size since he came into us as a yearling and he's only really starting to furnish and get his mind on the job as well. I love the way he did it there and it's very exciting going forward. We'll keep him on a good surface. We rolled the dice that day running him on a bit softer surface as he had done a few bits of work on a bit softer but he's just like his mother, he likes to gallop down the road. We're very lucky as we've had the first three progeny out of her and I'd say Aidan (O'Brien) will have the rest!. We've got a really nice full-sister who is a little bit bigger and lovely Circus Maximus yearling, she is a little bit neater so we might hopefully see her as a two-year-old.

We're delighted for Catriona and Rick (Gaynor, Gaynor Bloodstock LLC). They live in America most of the year, but they are originally from Trim. For them to be here for the victory is brilliant because they have persevered. He's a horse that was weak throughout the whole year, he wants good ground and has just strengthened up. For a Dark Angel he'll get a trip, he obviously got a mile-and-a-half there but he'll even get further as he galloped right through the line. He's a horse that has plenty of scope about him and he'd be a nice horse for the jumping boys too.
