FormscanBy Eamonn Murphy - Very impressive at Kilbeggan on his debut for Willie Mullins, KOTTAYAM can go in again. The Declaration Of War gelding made light of a 650 day absence then, and there should be plenty to look forward to from the Aga Khan-bred. The Gossiper was easy in the market late on for the Aintree bumper, and ended up running no race. It’ll be interesting to see how he moves in the betting this time. He’ll be much missed from the point-to-point fields but hopefully we’ll be seeing plenty of Jamie Codd on the racecourse proper. John Cannon can go well for him here. Happenings in the market should be revealing with the first-timers. At this juncture though, Imperial Ruler is possibly the most noteworthy of these.
