Donnacha O’Brien made it a treble on the evening, and five winners from his last six rides, when easy Galway maiden winner Lancaster House (2/7 fav) followed up in the Meadowview Stables Race.

The Galileo colt, trained by the jockey’s father Aidan, had little difficulty in seeing off his three rivals, tracking the pace-setting Memyselfandmoi before easing past that one over a furlong out. From there, he just had to be kept up to his work to see off Tankerville (5/1), which performed creditably after a lay-off, by an untroubled length and a half.

“He was more professional today, said the winning rider Donnacha O’Brien.

“He bounced out and did everything right. He stuck at it well and he’ll stay a bit further.

“I would be happy to say he’s a Group horse and we’ll see from there.”
