Breezy Zoff (50/1 - 25s) overcame a roadside draw in 31 today when winning the Curragh's final official race of the 2022 season, the 29-runner Bet Responsibly At Novibet Handicap, for trainer Gavin Cromwell, jockey Gary Carroll and the Formidable Syndicate.

The daughter of Zoffany was getting off the mark at he 12th attempt and afterwards Cromwell said “I’m delighted for the boys and it’s their first winner and their first horse.

“She has always been a bit keen in her races and the hood on her today helped to relax her. She was drawn wide and with a bit of space didn’t get as lit up. It helped her get home.

“She could go to Dundalk and will go on any ground.”

The Curragh's concluding race of 2022 is the 5.10pm Horseware Student Derby for students with qualified riding licenses, but worth a nominal value of €100.
