The Paul Power-trained Shannon Glory (7/2) followed up last month’s Killarney maiden win in the mares winners-of-one hurdle.

Jack Kennedy ’s mount went past disappointing odds-on favourite Jeremys Flame before the second-last and quickly had the race in the bag. She stayed on well to beat Motown Maggie by three and three quarter lengths.

Kennedy, doubling up after Wicklow Flyer in the opener said: "Yes, it is (his second winner on the horse), she won in Killarney the last day.

"She seems to be a horse that's on the up, so hopefully she can keep going that way.

"She did (battle), she was a bit flat out turning into the straight, but she jumped so well and she did it very well."
