Champion Trainer Willie Mullins completed a Naas treble today, as his Munir/Souede-owned Hunters Yarn had no trouble justifying 1/4 favourtism, under Paul Townend, in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle.

A three-time bumper winner, the six year old today scored on his third hurdles try, easily beating Quirke's Gate out of sight.

Mullins, earlier successful with Appreciate It and Grade 1 winner Champ Kiely wasn't present and Townend, completing a double, said “he (Hunters yarn) got in underneath one or two but when I wanted him and I was going on a stride up the straight, he was good and got better at it.

“If I had done that with him the first day he'd probably have won as well. He improved from his first run but I wasn't happy with myself the first day.

“He's another nice one for the owners who are having a mighty time of it.”
