Tony Martin has expressed his concerns about the possibility of heavy ground for Good Time Jonny in Boylesports Irish Grand National next Monday.

The Shirocco gelding is prominent in the betting for the Fairyhouse feature event, currently trading a best priced 16/1.

Last year's 'Pertemps' winner at Cheltenham is still a maiden over fences and was well beaten when third to Intense Raffles on heavy ground at the Meath venue on his last outing.

"We'll see what the ground is like, hopefully it won't be heavy, and hopefully we will have a good chance,” said Martin.

"If heavy is there, I think it will limit our chances.

"He's in good order but we just don't want heavy ground for him. He has handled soft but not heavy, I wouldn't mind soft."
