Magical Vision didn’t make her debut until last autumn but the six-year-old is certainly making up for lost time completing a hat-trick after a thrilling finish to the Compas Stallions Handicap at Naas.

The Dragon Pulse mare relished soft ground when successful here and at Navan last backend and is obviously continuing to progress.

The 6/1 chance headed Sounds Of Spring inside the final furlong and kept on under pressure for Chris Hayes to hold Mickey The Steel by a head with Sounds Of Spring just half-a-length back in third.

Winning trainer Aidan Howard said, “She did what I was hoping she would do. She has loads of gears and loves the ground.

“We’ll probably look for something similar in a couple of weeks because she isn’t going to handle summer ground.

“Chris gave her a lovely ride and got a lead off Ken Condon’s horse.

“She’s had her little issues and we’ve just taken our time. She’s very honest and I was delighted to see all the rain. Hopefully she will come on a bit as well.”
