Ground remains heavy at Fairyhouse

The ground remains heavy at Fairyhouse after 3mm of rain overnight.

Scattered heavy showers are forecast between now and Easter Monday with up to 10 or 15mm of rain possible.

Following 6mm of rain since entries Cork remains heavy but fit for racing ahead of Saturday's Flat card.

For the national hunt action on Sunday and Monday the course is heavy, soft to heavy in places.

It is set to be mainly dry with the possibility of 2-4mm (approx) of rain prior to racing. Patrons are reminded of diversions between Mitchelstown and Mallow.

Clonmel are now due to race next Thursday evening, having been cancelled today, but the course remains unfit for racing due to waterlogging in parts of the track following 14mm of rain since Tuesday.

Where raceable the ground is heavy. It is a mild and unsettled forecast next week with current rainfall predicted to be on the lower end.
