Trainer Joseph O'Brien completed a 1-2 in Cork's mile Declan Nurney After Racing Median Auction Race today, with 4/7 favourite Good Heavens beating stablemate Federal (17/2).

Ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle, the J.P. McManus owned, 95-rated Good Heavens won comfortably by four and a half lengths from Federal, with early leader Kirati Beach filling third place.

Browne McMonagle later said “it was very straightforward, he was the fancied one in it and I just followed Billy (Lee, on Kirati Beach) the whole way. We went a lovely gallop, I was always in control and was very happy the whole way.

“He won nicely at the line, he doesn't lack a gear and has a bit of boot. He is trip-versatile and could go 1m2f.”
