Galileo Dame is reported in good form as she takes a step up in class at Chester tomorrow in the Weatherbys ePassport Cheshire Oaks.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly filled the runner-up spot on her only juvenile start at Gowran and again encountered testing ground conditions when making an impressive reappearance over ten furlongs at Leopardstown last month.

The daughter of Galileo Gold stayed on strongly in the closing stages when beating Rubies Are Red by three and a half lengths and should enjoy the extra furlong of this Listed event.

“She has trained well since her maiden win. There is good prize money and hopefully she runs well,” said O’Brien.

“The ground is a little question but she is in really good shape.”

The Owning Hill trainer also had a positive update on juvenile Cowardofthecounty whose debut win over Whistlejacket at the Curragh last month received a boost when the latter scored in good style yesterday.

“He’s done really well and is a colt that we are really excited about. The plan is to go straight to the Coventry.

“Whistlejacket looked really good and it’s exciting to have a horse that is in his league at home.

“We have the option of the Marble Hill but I think the preference is to go straight to the Coventry.”
