Mount Frisco (11/2) galloped his rivals into the ground, making all and running out an easy winner of the Core Bullion Traders Rated Novice Chase.

On his second start over fences, the Kalanisi bay jumped well in the main and stretched clear when pushed along from the second last, coming home 18-lengths to the good.

Returned at 7/1, Knocknagappagh filled the runner-up spot under Sam Ewing for Peter Fahey, while well-backed favourite Making Country (1/1 from 7/4 early) could only manage a disappointing third after jumping to his left throughout.

"It took a while to get him going but we love this horse," owner/trainer John Ryan commented.

"He shows a lot more at home. He was running too keen over hurdles. He is brilliant over a fence and his future lies there.

"He ran a lovely race in Clonmel last month. He is a two-mile chaser and that's his job. He is from the family of Commache Court and he is a well-bred horse."
