Sea Sessions was the subsequent of a friendly claim by connections following her win in Fairyhouse's opening Thanks To The Frontline Claiming Race today, as she scored for trainer Ross O'Sullivan and jockey Mark Gallagher.

The daughter of Territories, carrying the colours of the trainer's wife Katie O'Sullivan, chased the leaders in fifth and while under pressure from over half a mile out, eventually stayed on well to edge ahead in the final furlong to beat While You're Up

Afterwards Ross O’Sullivan stated “she was progressive last year and her best run was her last run last season. She’s still probably getting the hang of it and, looking at that, could step up to a mile and a half. The further she was going the better she was getting.

“We’ll see how the claiming goes but I’d like to hang onto her.

“She has a nice pedigree and Katie bought her as a yearling. She was weak and backward last year and hopefully she will progress again.

“We thought she was a filly that wanted it softer but she handled that ground today no problem.”

The race was confined to three year olds and the only claim made was a friendly one for 63-rated winner Sea Sessions, which had a price tag of €15,000.
