Eagle Moon built upon a recent runner-up berth to run out a ready winner of the two mile handicap chase in Wexford.

He strode to the front between the last two fences and was ridden on the run-in by Dylan Robinson to strike by two and a half lengths at 4/1. Josephina attempted to make a race of it after the last but had to settle for second at 7/1. Western Sea was the same distance back in third at 9/1.

This brought up Henry de Bromhead's double as he also won with Urabamba in the opener.

Robinson said: "I rode him before in Galway last year and at Tramore last month as well. He is a lovely horse and the better the ground the better he is.

"He jumped super today and finished with a bit left at the end. He seems to stop in some of his races but that ground today is ideal for him.

"That's my first winner since losing my claim and it's nice to get it."

Eagle Moon was second in a beginners' chase at Limerick in July.
