FormscanBy Tom Weekes - SEA DUCOR beat subsequent Grade 1 hurdles winner Galopin Des Champs last November and today's race may be a medium-term target, as he reappears and competes from a favourable rating and under a Group 1 winning apprentice. SEA DUCOR won on flat handicap debut in October 2019, showed smart hurdles form last winter and runs from a rating of just 66 today. Three-year-olds Igraine and Powerful Kieran also showed little in maidens but have improved in handicaps. Igraine, a well-bred half-sister to a Listed winner, is a scopey type and looks capable of further improvement while Powerful Kieran has run two solid races in defeat in handicaps and was beaten by a following-day winner on latest start at Fairyhouse. Another 3yo, Aurora Princess beat Powerful Kieran at Leopardstown in early June and while winning again at Gowran, competes from a career high mark. Hat-trick chasing Loingseoir might ideally want easy ground while Beyond Happy ran well on handicap debut and is interesting stepping up in trip. Tudor City, winner of the 2019 Galway Hurdle, wasn't beaten far at Leopardstown last month and his rating haven fallen to a lowish level. Druk is 6lbs higher than when winning at Sligo while Mountain Fox is 8lbs higher than when winning at Gowran. Maricruz has been running well enough from similar marks while four-time winner Shamad ran well at Limerick latest.
