David Marnane has his fingers crossed Seanie can continue his recent winning run in thetote.com Knockaire Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday.

The five-year-old can be hard to predict, but he has been in a rich vein of form, winning handicaps at Listowel and Tipperary, and Marnane feels Seanie deserves his chance in Listed company.

"He's an enigma, but he's a horse with plenty of ability. He's rated 104 and there's not many in the race rated higher than him," said the County Tipperary trainer.

"He's entitled to take his chance. He's in a great place at the moment.

"Obviously he's won his last races very well. The race he won at Tipperary worked out very well - two good winners (Bubbly Bellini and Strait Of Zanzibar) have come out of out since. It's fingers crossed."

Bold Thady Quill turns out again after being unplaced behind Bronze Angel in the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot, but his trainer Ken Condon reports the seven-year-old to have taken the trip in his stride.

"He's tough and hardy. This will be his last run of the year," said Condon.

"He's run some good races at Leopardstown. He was a good third in a premier handicap there on champions weekend and going further back was second to Declaration Of War about 18 months ago.

"He's come back from Ascot very well. He might struggle in that company but the ground will be in his favour."

Canary Row is another who steps up in grade following several creditable efforts in big handicaps.

"He loves cut in the ground, but we've had a very dry summer so he's a very fresh horse," said his trainer Patrick Prendergast.

"He's been running off 97 in these premier handicaps and picking up cheques with some good efforts.

"There wasn't a premier handicap for him this weekend so if I don't run him now he won't get to run until March.

"He's a honest horse and will hold his own, but in a Listed race he's got a bit to find on the ratings."
