Irish well represented at Perth

As usual there will be a strong Irish contingent at Perth's two-day meeting which gets underway tomorrow.

Gordon Elliott is seemingly ever-present at the track and runs Pumped Up Kicks, who will be ridden by the capable amateur Steven Clements in the Pipe And Piling Supplies Day Novices' Hurdle.

Also running is the Prunella Dobbs-trained Ourbeautifuldream

They look to be facing a smart rival, though, in the shape of Nigel Twiston-Davies' Blacklion, a point-to-point winner and triumphant in two bumpers to date.

Noel Kelly does well in Britain with his raids and he sends Mighty Whitey over for the GS Group Claiming Hurdle.

Elliott runs two in this, with Tom Scudamore on Formal Bid while AP McCoy has been snapped up for Moss Street.

McCoy then rides Crown Theatre for Elliott in the Pipe And Piling Supplies Novices' Handicap Chase and High Expectations, already a winner at Perth, in the Countess Of Mansfield's Juvenile Hurdle.

Jason Maguire then takes over from McCoy to ride Raajih for his old pal in the feature Pipe And Piling Supplies Handicap Chase (For The Duke Of Atholl Challenge Cup) and on Tico in the closing Stay In Scone Palace For Perth Races Handicap Hurdle.
