Kristian Strangeway, owner of Koo's Racing Club, can barely contain his excitement ahead of next week's Galway Festival.

The enthusiastic Yorkshireman is hoping to launch a three-pronged attack on the bumper summer festival, headed by the Brian Ellison-trained Streets Of Newyork.

Second in the Cumberland Plate to Noble Alan when last seen, Strangeway is particularly excited by the prospect of stepping the seven-year-old up to two miles for the Connacht Hotel (Q.R.) Handicap on Monday.

Strangeway said: "It will be great to have three runners at Galway next week but the trip revolves around Streets Of Newyork. He would be our best chance of a winner and I think he'll show a good level of improvement for the step up in trip.

"Based on his bumper form when trained in Ireland, we think he'll get two miles on the level and he's always shaped like a stayer since joining us."
