Dense Star She got her head in front. She's not the biggest in the world but she's tough, that's her seventh run of the season. I don't know whether the ground made a difference. I don't know about the all-weather last time but it was probably the ground the time before. The second to Steel Bull reads well. Mikey (Sheehy) said today she jumped out, travelled great and when he asked her she picked up well. It's the first time I've seen her quicken like that. She's rated 94 and we'll see what happens now. Knowing Joseph he'll put her in somewhere and with the pedigrees that these fillies he's got have it's important to get some black-type. She's a tough filly and might prefer a bit better ground. It's dead out there but it's the best ground she's run on for a while. Brendan Powell, representing

Rough Diamond He's out of a good race-mare who wanted soft ground and she has bred me a couple of decent sprinters who wanted soft ground. For one of ours to win first time is a shock. He's never been away from home and has never been on grass. He could be interesting. He was very green but he quickened up well. Those maidens don't take a lot of winning but that's not to take away from him as he could be okay. Mark comes in and rides out for my daughter on a Saturday and rides the odds one for me. We haven't been flying so it's nice to get a winner.

Millisle She's back on track. She was very good there and Shane said she's only really learning to sprint now,. She got rolling, enjoyed it and quickened up well. She had to carry a penalty against them there too. We'll probably go to the Curragh now for the Phoenix Sprint, another Group 3. It's just hard enough to find races for her. There are very few fillies races, that's the trouble, and she's probably not hardened enough to take on the elder sprinters yet. I think she will be in time as I think she's a proper sprinter. I'd love to look at a Group 1 towards the end of the season. She seems to go on any ground, it doesn't seem to worry her at all. She's won a Group 1, a Listed race and now a Group 3 so it's brilliant. She's a very valuable filly as she has a good pedigree too. Her dam went back in foal this year to Starspangledbanner aged 23. She had been retired but they brought her back in out of the field.

Bubbles On Ice she’s quite a smart filly, I didn’t think she’d be that green. With the two-year-olds we haven’t been able to get them away and they’ve been needing their first runs. She’s a May foal and will improve as time goes on, and fast ground would be no bother to her. It wouldn’t want to be any softer than it was today., although she got the best of it.

Dickiedooda you'd have to be delighted with that. A few of our two-year-olds have been a little disappointing over the last few days but that's great. We're really happy with her, she's very uncomplicated, and she was well bought as she was only £30,000. She's a lovely filly.
