FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Dermot Weld, deposed king of Ballybrit, has won this race 24 times and runs DUKE DE SESSA, with Colin Keane booked. By a leading sire, out of a Group-placed winning dam and a half-brother to a winner, DUKE DE SESSA has entries in the Futurity and National Stakes, suggesting he is smart. Anchorage and I Am Magic are closely matched on Naas form, with Anchorage likely to turn placings. I Am Magic had experience going to Naas and raced prominently whereas Anchorage finished stronger and looks smart. Both horses are entered in the Futurity. Global Energy, a half-brother to a capable dual winner, sold for Gbp130,000 at a May Breeze Up Sale and clearly goes well. McTigue, which has a National Stakes entry, is out of a half-sister to Group 3 winner Smash Williams but Jim Bolger's lowest strike-rate at any Irish racecourse (nine percent) is at Galway. Adonis was well held behind high class Point Lonsdale on debut in June and needs to improve on his return from a mini break.
