FormscanBy Tom Weekes - It is impossible to tie Saint Sam's French form with Irish form and a chance is taken that DRUID'S ALTAR will win. DRUID'S ALTAR was beaten 5L by today's rival Zanahiyr in a Fairyhouse flat maiden in July but has since shown strong flat form on heavy ground and his debut hurdles win at Punchestown 15 days ago was quite taking. Saint Sam has '9-11' French hurdle form-figures and won two hurdles this summer, run on soft ground last June and July. He has since joined a formidable yard and while he carries a double winners' penalty, should go well, albeit he will need to be smart to beat the selection. Zanahiyr is himself a contender having won his maiden hurdle at Ballinrobe in October. A strong type, he beat the selection on his final flat outing, for Michael Halford, in July although the Ballinrobe form was knocked subsequently as the runner-up disappointed badly behind DRUID'S ALTAR at Punchestown. Glorious Zoff is useful but should struggle to win this while Rock Chica won an ordinary maiden easily at Tipperary but was well held at Punchestown.
