FormscanBy Mark Nunan - MARSHALLED has a course win over hurdles to his name and can defy topweight to win. Padraig Roche’s Flemensfirth gelding went well for a long way in his second handicap chase at Navan last time before finishing third after a mistake two out halted his momentum. He’s open to a lot more improvement than the gallant veteran Flynsini who gained his fourth career success on that occasion. Lacken Bridge has had a recent run after a long lay-off and was a fast-finishing second in this race last year. He’s one to bear in mind, along with last year’s third West Is Best who also acquitted himself well when finishing fifth at this track in November. Goulane Jessie stays well as she showed when second over fences at Punchestown in January. She is turned out again quickly after finishing fourth over hurdles last weekend and, if the race doesn’t come too soon, is capable of getting involved in the finish.
