FormscanBy Tom Weekes - BAPAUME isn't the biggest horse for fences but is nonetheless capable and is well suited by today's ground and race conditions. A Grade 1 winning hurdler, he has raced just six times over fences and while well beaten on his latest chase outings, comes here in good form and having bumped into a smart winner at Cork recently. BAPAUME is well suited to drying ground and did beat today's rival Spyglass Hill by 5.5L in a 2019 beginners chase. Spyglass Hill is himself a contender and while his best form has been on winter ground, ran well at Cork on a sound surface a fortnight ago and there may not be much between he and BAPAUME. Us And Them finished second in four Grade 1 novice chases in 2018/19 but has been out of sorts this season and was well held at Cheltenham last month, although today's ground suits. Davids Charm showed plenty of his old ability on reappearance behind the selection at Cork latest but lacks chase experience, having won his only previous chase at Tipperary last summer. Articulum is ground-versatile and very capable at best but is absent since pulling up in February. Minx Tiara was declared to run at Ballinrobe on Friday.
