Willie Mullins is readying a strong team for the Dublin Racing Festival at the beginning of next month.

The Closutton maestro is looking forward to the Leopardstown action with the proviso that racing takes place on suitable terrain.

“It is (terrific fare) if we get proper winter ground. We’ll see what happens,” said Mullins.

“They say they’re going to water the chase track which will be welcome. I think the hurdle track is probably fine alright but certainly the chase track, the last two meetings at Leopardstown, has been too dry.”

On his 2020 contenders Mullins commented: “Kemboy, Bellshill, and probably Cadmium will go there for that race (the Paddy Power Irish Gold Cup) I think.

“That run (his Savills Chase effort) should put him (Kemboy) right and I’m looking forward to going back to Leopardstown with him.

“Chacon Pour Soi will go for the two mile race (the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase), and Min will probably go there as well.

“It’s going to be a hell of a race, as Cilaos Emery might pitch up there. It’s going to be a hell of a trial (for the Champion Chase at Cheltenham).

“Defi Du Seuil is probably the only one that won’t be there.

“Sharjah and Klassical Dream will go there (the PCI Irish Champion Hurdle). Saldier won’t go there but Aramon might — the three that ran at Christmas.”
