Road To Riches spearheads a five-strong Gigginstown House Stud assault on the Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown.

Noel Meade's Cheltenham Gold Cup third wasn't able to defend his Lexus Chase crown over Christmas but had previously looked as well as ever when landing the Clonmel Oil Chase.

Meade also saddles Wounded Warrior for Gigginstown, whose colours are carried by 2013 winner Sir Des Champs, Lexus runner-up First Lieutenant and Valseur Lido as well.

Last year's one-two Carlingford Lough and Foxrock are back for more, with the field completed by On His Own, Fine Rightly and Gilgamboa.

The Gold Cup is one of four Grade Ones on a brilliant card, and Willie Mullins has three in with a chance of giving him his fourth successive Deloitte Novice Hurdle.

Champagne Fever, Vautour and Nichols Canyon have all been successful for the champion trainer, so Bellshill, Petit Mouchoir and Bleu Et Rouge have tough acts to follow, and the other two - Tombstone and Coney Island - are well regarded too.

Mullins also has a trio going to post for the Flogas Novice Chase, but McKinley, Pont Alexandre and Outlander faces a stiff examination from the Andrew Lynch-trained Zabana, who has attracted significant support for the JLT at Cheltenham this week.

The top-level action kicks off at 12.55 with the GAIN Spring Juvenile Hurdle, in which Ivanovich Gorbatov, trained by Aidan O'Brien, attempts to tighten his grip on Triumph Hurdle favouritism.

On a day when Cheltenham clues will be in abundance, leading hunter chaser On The Fringe reappears in the Leopardstown Inn Hunters Chase, although he is without regular pilot Nina Carberry, with Jamie Codd taking over from the injured amateur.

Who's That strives to follow up her victory of 12 months ago in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Handicap Hurdle, while Blazer is switched back to the smaller obstacles for the 1888 Restaurant Handicap Hurdle.
