The Aidan O-Brien-trained Outstanding finished fourth behind Tepin in the Grade One First Lady Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday evening.

A Listed winner at Naas in June, the Galileo filly was left with plenty to do after a slow start but kept on well for Colm O'Donoghue at the finish.

Tom Dascombe's Crowley's Law picked up some valuable black type as she claimed the runner-up spot.

On the same card Charlie Hills' Dutch Connection had to settle for fifth place behind Grand Arch in the Grade One Shadwell Turf Mile.

A winner at Royal Ascot earlier in the season, he has since been second in the Prix Jean Prat and the Lennox Stakes.

Hills pulled him out of the Prix du Moulin recently when the ground turned soft and instead aimed him at this valuable prize.

However, he lost his position rounding the turn for home before staying on again into fifth, two places ahead of Kevin Ryan's Kelinni, who made most of the running.

The winner booked his spot in the Breeders' Cup Mile as part of the "Win And You're In" series.

Sophie Doyle, sister of Godolphin jockey James, landed the biggest success of her career in the States when Fioretti won the Grade Two Thoroughbred Club Of America Stakes.

Over at Belmont David Wachman's Curvy could only finish fifth in the Grade One Flower Bowl Stakes behind Stephanie's in which Ed Walker's Mutatis Mutandis picked up the bronze medal.

"Mutatis Mutandis ran a huge race at Belmont to finish 3rd & gained her Gr.1 black type for @ChasemoreFarm in very testing conditions," tweeted Walker.

In the Frizette Stakes on the dirt Jeremey Noseda's Nemoralia was a fast finishing second behind Nickname in the Grade One, booking her place at the Breeders' Cup.

Noseda tweeted: "Delighted with Nemoralia's performance first time on the dirt. @BreedersCup @keeneland here we come."
