Cougar Mountain will drop back in distance after his weary effort in the Coral-Eclipse at Sandown on Saturday.
The Aidan O'Brien-trained colt seemingly failed to see out the mile and a quarter of the esteemed Group One as he was comprehensively beaten by the brilliant Golden Horn.
Before that, he had finished a deeply encouraging third in the Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot.
"We'll go back in trip to a mile with him," said O'Brien.
"Joseph (O'Brien) was saying to me that he was only beaten two lengths in the Nunthorpe so, in fairness, we were maybe stretching it going a mile and a quarter.
"I'd say he'll be lovely back at a mile."
