Review dundalk 8th Sep

< Mister Tee took a big drop in class for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Dundalk and delivered the goods with the minimum of fuss as Ger Lyons enjoyed another big evening at the track.

Second to Cape Blanco in the Futurity at Fairyhouse last time, the colt was soon in front under Johnny Murtagh and was chased by Jamaayel in the home straight.

Murtagh delivered a couple of cracks a furlong and a half out and the 4-11 favourite scooted right away to end a run of four seconds with an easy victory by five and a half lengths.

Lyons went on to a double when another of his consistent juveniles, Bada Bling stepped up on six placed efforts to win the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Fillies Maiden.

Odds-on favourite Balansara trying to give John Oxx his first juvenile winner of the season, led into the straight but was tackled by both Diva Dolce and Bada Bling.

After a titanic struggle it was Bada Bling (11-2) who came out on top, Keagan Latham forcing her ahead by a length from Balansara.

Latham completed a double, and Lyons a treble, when Dohasa (10-11 favourite) made his class tell as he forged clear of Augustusthestrong to take the Blackrock Race.< Forbidden City (9-1) led all the way under Chris Hayes to take the 'Buy A Racing Post Yearling Candidate' Maiden.< Silver Shoon tracked Jimmy Coogan's gelding into the straight but could not raise her game, and the main challenge arrived in the shape of the fast-finishing Sampers who came up short by a head.

Mick Halford's bang-in-form Lord Kenmare made it a quick double after Sunday's victory at the track by winning the first division of the Ardpatrick Handicap.

The 15-8 favourite, carrying a 5lb penalty, had plenty to do turning in under Shane Foley but came with a sustained run to beat Patrickswell by half a length.

Jom Bolger's Mean Lae (8-1) took the second division, staying on best to hold favourite Berbice by a length once Kevin Manning extricated her from the rails to put in a challenge.
