The Sligo Races Supporters Club 2020 Nursery, the first race of its type in Ireland this season, was won by the topweight Zoffany’s Delight (9/4, from 4/1 in the morning).

He was always prominent and moved on rounding the turn into the straight. He came home a length to the good over Mass Gathering (9/1), with another half a length back to third home Shannon Valley who didn't get much racing room in the closing stages.

The 15/8 favourite Revolutme finished fifth of the six runners.

The Joseph O’Brien-trained winner cost £120,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to two winners including useful sort The Irish Rover.

Winning rider Declan McDonogh, on board his 19th winner of the campaign, said: "He jumped out and was alert. The first-time cheekpieces helped him concentrate.

"It looks like he might get another furlong, so hopefully he can win another race."
