Trainer John Oxx completed a double at Killarney today as his Shringara caused a 25/1 upset to win the Dermot O'Leary Flesk Restaurant Memorial Fillies Maiden under jockey Declan McDonogh.

The daughter of Dansili is out of a half-sister to two Group 1 winners Youmzain and Creachadoir and following today's success, Oxx said "I thought she'd need another run as she is a lazy filly at home. She has plenty of ability but is going through the motions in her work but I had to get her out at Gowran.

"She'd like soft ground if she could get it and it's safe ground here and it ended up a little slower than we expected and she managed to wake up enough to win.

"She will have learned a lot from that and she has a great pedigree and is lovely looking.

"We'll see how much she improves now and will look for a handicap with her next."

Oxx's other winner Miss Zizi won an earlier handicap under jockey Sean Davis.
