The Noel Meade trained six-time winner Joey Sasa has been on the easy list since his latest victory in the Grade 3 Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary in early July.

The nine year old picked up an injury when seeing off a strong field that included the Willie Mullins trained pair of Wicklow Brave and Sharjah.

Meade said: “Unfortunately he got injured in Tipperary and he won’t be back until the back-end of the season.”
