Imposing Supreme may try to supplement his Galway Festival success at Cork.

The three-year-old got off the mark at the 10th attempt with a strong performance under a positive ride from Gary Carroll.

Always prominent, the grey colt stole a handy lead before the home turn to land a 17-runner handicap over the extended mile by three-quarters of a length from Royal Canford at the start of the month.

Trainer Tom Gibney reports Imposing Supreme to have taken the race well and hopes there is more to come from the son of Alhebayeb — starting this weekend.

“He’s good and he’s going to Cork on Saturday for a regular handicap, all being well,” said the County Meath handler.

“He had two good, solid runs before that — in fairness to him. I think he’s on the improve. That’s what we’re hoping for. Time will tell.”
