Jim Bolger felt Moonlight Magic failed to see out the trip in Saturday's Irish Derby.

The Derrinstown Derby Trial winner put up a much better display at the Curragh than he had at Epsom, but Bolger did not think the distance suited his charge

The Godolphin-owned colt finished sixth, beaten just over eight lengths by dual Derby winner Harzand.

"He ran a very good race, but he may not have not have seen out the stiff mile and a half at the Curragh in the (good to yielding) ground," Bolger told www.godolphin.com.
